Coastal Affair Getaway Winners Share Dream Weekends at the Beach

thank_you

Back in June, we celebrated a Coastal Affair with a nationwide, in-store event and very special destination giveaway. Two lucky Fresh Produce fans entered to win a trip to Carpinteria, California for a two-night coastal getaway. Airfare, transportation and overnight stay at Fresh Produce Founders Thom and Mary Ellen Vernon’s very own beach cottage.

Our two winners were not only lucky, but also have the same name! Victoria Churchill from St. Louis, Missouri and Victoria Thomas from Pinole, California invited their extra lucky husbands to be their traveling companions. On separate occasions, each couple stayed two nights at a one bedroom, one bath cottage complete with kitchen, sitting and dining areas and a lovely front porch. Fresh Produce provided each couple a goody bag, which included a bottle of wine, ideas of things to do and see in the area, a gift card to Sly’s, a great local spot for steak and seafood, plus beach cruiser bikes to ride on and explore during their stay. Did we mention access to the beach, and plenty of views of sunsets?  They got that, too!

We’ve been dying to hear about their recent trips, which both sounded like the perfect mix of fun and relaxation for a coastal getaway. Here are some highlights from their trip:

Victoria and Christopher Thomas planned their trip around their 23rd anniversary and celebrated with a romantic dinner at Stella Mare’s Bistro in neighboring Santa Barbara.

Victoria and Chris ventured off to explore Cold Spring Canyon Arch Bridge in Lake Cachuma. It’s an engineering marvel and one of the longest span arch bridges in the world.

Victoria Churchill finds the beach relaxing and soothing. “I feel so refreshed and renewed after I’ve been to the beach. Listening to the waves and the sound of the ocean is what I find so soothing,” she says.

Thank you for letting us know about the winners, & letting us see their “glorious” photos! I, like I’m sure everyone else, really wanted to win, but am happy for these 2 couples!
