Endless Summer Essentials

This month we’re dreaming of an Endless Summer. The season is fading away just like our suntan, but we hope to savor the sunshine and beach time a little bit longer. Here are a few of our favorite finds that will keep the spirit of summer shining on.

 1. Sweet Sippin’

There’s still time for iced tea drinkin’ and lemonade sippin’ on our patios, decks and yards. But we think it’s way more fun with paper straws. Add them to a glass of something cold and put them out at your next barbecue for an end-of-the-summer touch.  Find them at Amazon.com, Hobby Lobby or Etsy.com.

2. Raise a Glass

Although the days are getting shorter, we’re still toasting to beautiful sunsets. We love these nifty wine glasses from Lifefactory because they’re easy-to-grip and very durable thanks to protective silicone sleeves—perfect for our summer wine nights. They’re also BPA free, dishwasher-safe, made in the USA and available in fun colors, too. We’ll drink to that!

3. Life’s a Picnic

Before downtime disappears and sunny afternoons fade, grab family and friends and set off on a summer’s end picnic. This Piccadilly Picnic Basket is roomy enough for your menu of treats, plus it includes flatware, plates and wine glasses. Pack your snacks and drinks and you’re out the door! Available at Macys.com.

4. Anchors Away

When it’s time to dock the boat for the season, this nautical, handmade pillow will keep you dreaming of the coast. Embroidered accents, stitch work and shimmery beadwork will dress up any couch or armchair. Find it here at JonathanAdler.com.

5. (Green)Thumbs Up

If the opportunity for summer gardening passed you up (again) this season, don’t worry.  There’s still time for fresh herbs and veggies. This MicroGiardini or “garden in a can” gives you a chance to try your green thumb at basil, mint, chili peppers and tomatoes. These make great gifts, too! Pick a plant or two or three at Noted.com
