Bring in Your Blues: Denim Recycling Initiative

There’s no better time for a Fresh Start than the New Year, so we’re ringing in 2014 with an open mind and endless possibilities. We want to renew, refresh and rejuvenate our mind, body and soul.  That’s why we’re kicking off the New Year with a great in-store initiative called Bring in Your Blues. We have partnered with Blue Jeans Go Green™ during the month of January (officially starting on the 7th) to collect as many of your unwanted denim as possible. Come on, we know you have pairs of jeans and other denim styles lounging in your drawer or closet not being worn.  However, think twice before throwing them away. Bring them into any full price Fresh Produce store, so they can be put to good use. Did you know denim can be recycled into making strong insulation for people’s homes? Blue Jeans Go Green™ gives your old jeans new life and a new purpose.

Blue Jeans Go Green™

Created by Cotton Incorporated in 2006, Blue Jeans Go Green™ collects denim that is recycled into Ultra Touch™ Denim Insulation, where a portion of it, approximately  250,000 square feet, is distributed to help communities in need each year. * Historically, homes built by Habitat for Humanity affiliates, in several communities, have been the primary recipients for the insulation. To date, the efforts of the  Blue Jeans Go Green™ denim recycling program have diverted over 600 tons of waste from landfills.

Receive 15% Off New Denim

To thank you for bringing in your unwanted denim, we’ll give you 15% off any KUT from the Kloth Jeans in stores only starting January 7. Don’t forget! We’ll take anything denim—shirts, pants, purses, jackets and more.
